Blaine wasn’t quite sure what it was about Sebastian that drew him in. After everything the taller boy had done, he knew he was supposed to hate him, or at least dislike him. You weren’t supposed to like the person who nearly blinded you. That was the second time Blaine had seen his father actually get upset and worried about him. The first time being when he was beat up at the Sadie Hawkins dance. He had basically forbidden Blaine to even as much as look at Sebastian again, and at the time, he was perfectly fine with that. He had hated the boy so much, simply couldn’t understand how one person could be so cruel. It was partially Blaine’s own fault, having jumped in front of Kurt, and he knew the slushie wasn’t meant for him. But the fact that Sebastian even did that, and that the warblers, his old friends, were in on it, that’s what pissed him off the most. And even after regionals, he had tried so hard to hate Sebastian. Because that’s what everyone in his surroundings told him to do, they acted like he couldn’t possibly be friends with someone like that.
But after all, it was Sebastian. And just that seemed like a good enough reason to talk to him again. Slowly ease his way into a possible friendship. Blaine wasn’t the type of person to hold grudges, and the whole thing with Sebastian, that was no exception. He knew that deep down, the taller boy was a good person. He just needed to break down the walls Sebastian had seemed to put up around himself. All Blaine wanted was to get to know the real Sebastian, and he felt like he was well on his way of doing that.
To be honest, Blaine wasn’t sure the tour would actually give Sebastian anything. The school was small, he had probably already seen it all, but he wasn’t about to decline such an offer. It would give him an opportunity to actually talk face to face with the taller boy, something he looked forward to. And he really just wanted an excuse to hang out with him, spend some time with him, although that was something Blaine wouldn’t admit to anyone. There was just something about Sebastian that intrigued him. The whole bad boy attitude, he liked that. Or more like adored it. It was so new to him. Kurt was this incredibly sweet and innocent boy who yes, could be really sassy and mean if he wanted to, but he was nothing like Sebastian. Blaine felt like he could actually let loose around Sebastian, knowing that he wouldn’t judge him. It was all he’d thought about during his classes. Hanging out with Sebastian. He wasn’t sure it was normal to be thinking about someone other than his boyfriend that much, but he just couldn’t help himself. And as soon as the bell rang, Blaine sent off a quick text to Kurt telling him they couldn’t get coffee after school and then headed off to meet up with Sebastian.
For whatever reason, Blaine felt sort of nervous. He stopped walking when he was about halfway there and looked down at his clothes. He scrunched his nose as he pulled on his bowtie before taking it off, shoving it down his bag. And then he also took off his cardigan and had it join the bowtie in his bag. Dressing so.. snobby around Sebastian felt wrong, and it just didn’t feel like Blaine. So as soon as he lost the bowtie and the cardigan, any trace of being nervous disappeared and he put on a smile as he continued walking.
Turning around the corner, Blaine’s smile instantly grew wider as soon as he saw Sebastian and he raised a hand to wave a little as he approached the taller boy. “Hi.” He smiled, suddenly feeling nervous again. He moved a hand up to run his fingers through his hair but cursed silently under his breath when he realized he was using far too much gel to even get one finger through, so he let his arm drop to his side again. “So, um..” He looked around a little before turning his attention back to Sebastian. “I feel like you’ve already seen exactly everything, to be honest.” He looked down at his feet, letting out a nervous chuckle. “But we’ll just start inside, I guess. If that’s okay with you?” Blaine glanced up at Sebastian, a small smile playing on his lips.
